The Process
Your first visit to Royston Aesthetics begins with a FREE, no obligation consultation with one of our laser nurse practitioners.
This appointment will last around 30 minutes. |
On arriving at the front desk, you will be asked to complete a patient information form with your details, including a brief medical and treatment history. |
The laser nurse practitioner will then take you through to the consultation room for an assessment. |
She will go through the consent form with you in detail, the treatment plan and the equipment that is used. You will also have an opportunity to learn about the pre and post care protocols to be followed. |
After your informed consent, the laser nurse practitioner will carry out a free test patch using the suitable laser. This test patch is necessary prior to the treatment. |
Your nurse or medical aesthetician will then advise you as to when to come in for your first appointment. |
You can then make the booking at the front desk if you wish to go ahead with the treatment. |
If you have any doubts or questions at any time, please feel free to ask us about them. |
There is no obligation to book a treatment with us after your consultation, the consultation is entirely complementary. |
Your Treatment
On your arrival to Royston Aesthetics please inform the receptionist of your arrival. Your laser nurse practitioner will then take you through to the treatment room and prepare the treatment area for the procedure.
Each step of the treatment will be explained. The laser nurse practitioner will use your results from the skin analysis form you completed. Skin typing is the first step in determining appropriate treatment parameters for all aesthetic laser treatments. Patients are categorized within Fitzpatrick skin types I – VI. Skin types I - III have low levels of melanin in their epidermis and can be treated at higher energies. Skin types V and VI have high concentrations of melanin in their epidermis and are treated at lower
energies, with longer pulse widths.
If you have any doubts or questions at any time, please feel free to ask us about them.
After the procedure, the nurse practitioner will apply the post care products and will go through the post care routine with you. It is important that you follow these post care routines to avoid any undesirable side effects and to maximize your treatment benefits.
You will then be advised regarding your next appointment.
At the front desk, simply make the appointment as advised by your laser nurse practitioner. |
