We offer two types of Dermal Filler Hydrafill® and Radiesse®.Your physician will advise the best product for you.

Hydrafill®

Hyaluronic acid, which is a natural component of our skin, wears off as we grow older. The speed at which our skin loses this substance can also be associated with habits such as smoking.
Dermal filler is Hyaluronic acid, and is used to:

  • Fill deep and fine lines between the eyebrows (frown lines).
  • Smooth Crow's feet (smile wrinkles).
  • Fill and smooth Lines between the nose and mouth (naso-labial folds).
  • Enhance and reshape lips.
  • Lift corners of sagging mouth

It is perfectly safe and allows immediate results.

The dermal filler we use is Hydra Fill®

What is Hydra Fill®?

Hydra Fill® is FDA-approved dermal filler made from a highly purified form of hyaluronic acid. When injected just below the surface of the skin, Hydra Fill® adds volume to the skin, smoothing unwanted lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the fluids surrounding cells and tissues in the body. As we age, the hyaluronic acid produced by the body decreases significantly causing the skin to lose elasticity therefore making it increasingly prone to fine lines and wrinkles. Injecting fillers into the skin simply replaces volume where the body’s own hyaluronic acid has been depleted.

How does Hydra Fill® work?

Hydra Fill® is injected just beneath the skin's surface temporarily adding volume to the layers of the skin that have been depleted due to age and other factors such as sun damage and smoking. Hydra Fill®   when injected is used to raise indentations in the skin, providing temporary correction of wrinkles and deep lines.

Hydra Fill® comes in 3 grades –
Grade 1 - for fine to moderate wrinkles
Grade 2 - for moderate to severe wrinkles and lip contouring
Grade 3 - for moderate to very severe wrinkles, facial contouring and lip enhancement.

Which areas can be treated withHydra Fill®?

The most common areas for treatment are;
Deep and fine lines between the eyebrows (glabellum).
Crow's feet (laughter lines)
Nose to mouth lines (Nasolabial)
Enhance and reshape lips.

Are there any side-effects?

Immediately after the treatment, there may be slight redness, mild bruising and tenderness around the treated area. The mild swelling and puffiness usually resolves in a few days
Normal activities may be resumed following treatment.

Is the treatment painful?

There may be slight discomfort. Hydra Fill® is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to reduce discomfort.  Local anaesthesia is available.

How often will I require treatment?

Each individual and treatment area responds differently. Hydra Fill® provides an aesthetic effect for an average of 6-12 months.

Can more than one area treated at the same appointment?

Yes, more than one area can safely be injected at the same appointment.

What can I expect after lip enhancement treatment?

The initial swelling after lip enhancement may last longer than other treatments. Some patients experience swelling for about a week and the lips may look slightly uneven during this time. This will resolve in a few days

How long does the treatment last?

Hydra Fill® provides an aesthetic effect for an average of 6-12 months. This effect varies depending on the condition of the skin, areas treated, amount of product injected, injection technique and lifestyle factors such as sun exposure or smoking. The average life of treatment to the lips is 6 months due to the high vascularisation/mechanical action of the lip and can vary depending on the product used. A touch up procedure between 1-3 weeks after the first injection helps to optimise and maximise the duration of the results.

A comprehensive and informative consultation will be carried out prior to treatment.

Radiesse®

What is Radiesse® ?

Radiesse® dermal filler is a safe, next generation filler that does more than just fill in lines and wrinkles – it also adds volume. Radiesse® is setting a new standard in facial lines and wrinkle correction. This treatment restores a natural, youthful look that lasts. In many patients, the results may last for more than a year. Numerous medical studies have shown that Radiesse® dermal filler is a safe and effective treatment for filling and correcting laughter lines, nasolabial folds, and deep wrinkles around the mouth. Radiesse® dermal filler stimulates the body to produce new collagen producing instant enhancement of deep lines and wrinkles.

How does Radiesse® filler work?

Radiesse® filler is gently injected into the skin in small amounts with a very fine needle, stimulating the body to produce new collagen. This unique response requires little or no downtime and gives immediate, visible improvement of lines and wrinkles, and provides long-lasting results.

Is Radiesse® filler safe?

Years of thorough clinical testing and use by medical practitioners in hundreds of thousands of patients worldwide, Radiesse® filler has been shown to be safe and effective. In the FDA clinical studies there were virtually no allergic reactions.

How many treatments will I need?

Many patients will achieve their desired result after just one or two treatments. To ensure your satisfaction with the treatment, your medical practitioner may schedule a follow-up visit, where a touch up treatment might be recommended.

Are there any side- effects?

The most common minor side effects are tenderness or mild bruising around the injection site. There will be swelling which will resolve in a few days

Could I have an allergic reaction to Radiesse®?
